Discussion on how and where information will be collected about behavior in the playground. Jo to make up 12 notebooks with the information/data needed to be recorded/collected. To simplify for ease of use.

The back field is having a hill built up for an extra play area. All donated so far. To encourage a range of new games and play, Marbles etc.

Sue is working on the little Steal people figures. Finalizing how they will look and what statements will be printed on the T shirts. Ang is getting statements from Child voices.

Talk about the use of computers out of School time in classrooms. Morning teas, before school etc, A set of rules around usage to be made School wide so all teachers and staff are on the same page
Also discussion on C blocks hot spot. To be discussed with senior teachers and perhaps student Council when it is formed. Getting involvement from them to create solutions.

Cushla and Sue working on map for areas of school and who is responsible for that area to be kept clean. Perhaps awards for best group. Discussion on rubbish and solutions.

Minutes of PB4L Meeting 9th Feb 2012-02-27

Present: Cushla, Sue, Robyn, Jo, Shona, Ang, Taima

Welcome Robyn Rutherford to PB4L. PB4L was roughly explained to her, the best way to get her head around it is to explore the wiki.

Ang and Sue are going to be co-leading.

Swiss- Cushla contacted them but there is supposed to be a two week training course with it, Cushla is going to get onto finding out fully about it this afternoon. Jo and Shona to look at setting it up.

Duty- renamed as ACTIVE SUPERVISION. This name change will be announced at the staff meeting Tuesday week 20th Feb. Robyn is going to look into buying some Hivis vests asap. The vests need pockets to put notebooks etc into.

Hotspots- Map of the school to point out hotspots, where teachers will mark down on a map during active supervision.

Workshop with the staff to deem what defines an incident.

Jo putting a list on E-TAP of behaviours schoolwide when you are on active supervision.

Logo- Sue showed us her ideas, we agreed on the logo. Shona to get quotes for logos on various things such as stickers to be put on rubbish bins, fence of friendship, bus shelter, trees, sooner rather than later. Also to go onto magnetic board in foyer. Daniel is going to do an electronic board with digital information. Going to ask the kids for statements that can be used as well. Ang and Sue are going to get quotes for wooden men and or metal men to be placed around the school with the kids statements on their t-shirts. Make a mural for the hall, school rap to go on school website.

Rewarding special behaviour will be discussed in next meeting.

Update protocols for risk management; they need to be tweaked in the folder to fit in with PB4L. When decided, it will be revised with management at a later date.

Lesson planning, behind the eight ball with this, will put off until the beginning of next term, and to start with something simple, such as wet lunch hour.

Safe place to send kids for cooling down, suggested the court yard in the staff room in summer and the admin block in winter, but need to talk to admin staff.

Special awards for teachers, Ang will make award, the teachers will receive them when they do something fantastic, and will get a spoon for being an egg (LOL).

Litter awards- groups of kids responsible for their own areas, sleuths for spotting the cleanest area, they get points, award to say Top Class. Sue and Ang to talk to staff.
